  My daughter and I came across Arte Getsemaní as we were exploring the city. Zoé, the owner, was hanging some paintings on the wall across the street from the gallery as we came up and she was immediately incredibly warm and open. She told us about the origins of the gallery, her kids, how she had lived in New York for a while and was beyond welcoming. She has a couple of dozen artists who she sells for, her selection is *great*, and the prices are incredibly reasonable for original art works that represent a ton of local styles. So many great vibrant offerings scaling from small postcard sized watercolors to very large wall hangings. We continued to chat with her as we picked some things out, met her dogs, met her parrot, and it all just turned into the best thing we did that afternoon! If you're visiting Cartagena I would seriously go out of your way to swing by to pick up some affordable original momentos and to say hi to Zoé!
