::The car was not ready at the time of pick-up because it had not been cleaned. This was also the case for the two individuals that were served before me. Unfortunately, the attendant was not concerned about the cleanliness of the car or the impact of not having the car would have on my vacation plans and quickly asked: "if the car isn't clean, will you refuse the rental?". She repeated this question a number of times as I struggled to find a workable solution. Refusing the car would have ruined our two-day trip and cost hundreds in hotel cancellations. She failed to offer any considerations or even seem moderately concerned. A free GPS for the trip or some other small token would have been much appreciated. Instead, we inquired about how they clean their cars, where, and how long it would take to have ours cleaned as the inside was not suitable. Thankfully, the car attendant came in and provided better customer service and explained that the car wash was down the street. When I asked him if we could be authorized to have it cleaned he replied that he could drive us there in the car. Overall, we lost about an hour and a half waiting for them to resolve the same issue with the customers before us and then going to and waiting at the car wash. I've had great experiences with AVIS every other time I've rented with them, but I am incredibly disappointed by the lack of customer service I experienced with this rental. There was no interest or attempt by the attendant to rectify the situation or compensate us for having to accept a dirty car.

::Rented a car via their Colombian website. Selected pickup time as 7AM and the rental was fully confirmed. Arrived at their location on Kr 19 at 7AM and the office was closed. An employee said there had been a mistake and they do not open until 8AM. Waited on a bench until 810 until the main employee arrived and could start the rental process. The employees are very nice, but their systems are a mess: 1) They do not have a credit card machine for an authorization. They had to call a number and verbally tell someone my credit card info to put a hold on the car for potential damage. This took a few tries and about 15 minutes. 2) They have to manually re-enter a lot of info I already provided via their website. Waste of time. 3) There is only one person doing this. The entire check-in process took over 30 minutes. I declined all coverage except for Additional Liability Coverage. My online receipt included this in the price. However the attendant said it "Was not possible to only buy one type of insurance. I had to buy none or all of them." This is strange - I've always been able to only purchase liability in the US and other countries at Avis. We rented an "Intermediate", which ended up being a tiny Nissan with trunk space for one bag. For the price paid for a large car, still seemed pretty small. Upon return, staff noticed a small bump on the front tire. The damage estimate was small, so we paid it outright. However, when asking for documents for us to provide to insurance, they refused to provide any. Specifically, their damage report did not show any damage and they only would provide a receipt for the amount paid for the tire replacement. Overall, staff are friendly, but some process and system issues really kill the customer experience. Will look elsewhere for a car in the future.

Además el coche está en un lote no inmediato, lo que en el tráfico bogotano puede significar 20 minutos de retraso. Amable quien me atendió, pero un desastre de sistema. This is the slowest car rental in the history of the world, as well as the least safe ever. There is only one person doing ALL the work, and it takes them forever to get your car, and they deliver it to you right on the street. Please, please do not use it. Guy at the counter was nice, though; not his fault.
